Uffe Elbaek is the former Minister for Culture and former party leader and founder of the green party 'The Alternative'. Before entering national politics and becoming a member of the Danish Parliament, Uffe was founder and leader of the youth cultural organization The Frontrunners (1982 - 1991). After the Frontrunners, he founded and was principal for the entrepreneurial leadership program 'The KaosPilots' (1991 - 2006) and later CEO of the international LGBT event 'World Outgames in Copenhagen' (2007 - 2009). During his professional career he has been an outspoken progressive voice in Danish society. Both as an educator, cultural opinion maker, author and columnist. In November 2022 he stepped down from his seat in the Danish Parliament, and for the first time in more than 40 years he is no longer responsible for anything or anybody - except himself. Uffe has written several books, among them Leadership on the Edge (2010), his memoirs Et liv (A Life) (2022) and his latest book: Tvivl, hab & handling (Doubt, Hope & Action) (2023). He has received several awards and recognitions for his work.
