Tracey Davies is executive director of Just Share, a South African non-profit shareholder activist organization using engagement, advocacy and activism to drive urgent action to combat climate change and reduce inequality. Just Share works collaboratively with local and international social justice partners, and responsible investors, to advance sustainable finance and a just transition to a low carbon, inclusive economy. Just Share has supported and filed South Africa's first shareholder resolutions on climate risk. Tracey sits on the steering committee of the Academy of Sciences South Africa's Just Transition Forum, and is a member of the advisory board for the National Business Initiative's Just Transition Pathways Initiative, and the Global Reporting Initiative's Human Rights Technical Committee. She is recognized as an expert on responsible investment, shareholder activism and corporate governance. Tracey holds a B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Cape Town and an LL.M. from New York University. She is admitted as an attorney in South Africa and as a solicitor in England and Wales.
