Tiggy is the national coordinator at Wildlife Health Australia. She joined the organization in 2009. She is also Australia's World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) focal point for wildlife health. Tiggy coordinates Australia's wildlife health surveillance system, which includes facilitating response to wildlife disease events through cross-jurisdictional multi-agency collaboration. She is interested in knowledge transfer, horizon scanning, systems thinking and creating robust and sustainable frameworks. Previous work has included lecturing in parasitology and communication skills, wildlife population field surveys. Tiggy obtained her veterinary degree in 1999 and her Ph.D. in molecular parasitology in 2006, both from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
