Thecla Wilkie

Thecla Wilkie is a distinguished broadcast journalist with over two decades of professional experience at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She is an alumna of the University of Ibadan and the University of Benin, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Master's degree in Election and Party Politics, respectively. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Studies. A Fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar Session 639, Thecla Wilkie is also affiliated with several reputable professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the International Press Institute, the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters, and the Nigerian Union of Journalists. Throughout her distinguished career, she has anchored a number of flagship television programmes, notably Saturday Nite and Conversation With History. Through these platforms, she has conducted insightful and in-depth interviews with prominent national and international figures, including Emeka Anyaoku, Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Edwin Clark, Mike Enahoro, Tanko Yakasai, Bruce Onobrakpeya, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, as well as global personalities such as Alexandra Burke, Jeffery Daniel, Don Moen, Nkulee Dube, Reggie Rockstone, and Sandra Izsadore.
