Suramya Bansal is an anthropologist and archaeologist with academic and professional experiences in India, South Africa and Australia. His research and applied interests revolve around intangible culture in northern India, rock art in southern Africa, native title in northern Australia, world heritage across Indian Ocean, community tourism across Asia Pacific and cultural diplomacy across Global South. As a Salzburg Global Fellow, he advocates for heritage as facilitator for sustainable development goals through Young Cultural Innovators Forum (2020), Creative Power of Arts Program (2021), Emerging Urban Leaders Forum (2022-2023), and Global Lessons on Greening School Grounds and Outdoor Learning Program (2024).
