Stephanie T. Kleine-Ahlbrandt is the North-East Asia project director and China adviser at the International Crisis Group (ICG) in Beijing, where she is responsible for research and analysis of China's role in conflict countries and regions. Before joining ICG, she was an international affairs fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). She also served at the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights where she worked on the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. Prior, she worked for the OSCE in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the UN in Rwanda and for the Legal Affairs Directorate of the Council of Europe. She has contributed numerous articles to The New York Times, die Zeit and Le Monde, and is a regular commentator on CNN, BBC, NPR and Al Jazeera. Ms. Kleine-Ahlbrandt holds an M.A. from the Graduate Institute of International Studies of the University of Geneva.
