Vice Chair, Program on International Financial Systems
Stefan Gavell is vice chair of the Program on International Financial Systems, which is affiliated with Harvard Law School. PIFs organizes symposiums which bring together academia, public officials and the private sector on issues impacting financial markets. PIFs also conducts research and executive training programs for regulators and supervisors. Stefan previously served as executive vice president at State Street Corporation where he directed global public policy. Stefan frequently lectures, moderates and participates on panel discussions on topics including financial stability, investment funds, and bank capital. He recently co-authored an article on bank stress-testing ''Severe but Plausible-or-Not?'' (MIT Sloan School working paper with Mark Kritzman and Cel Kulasekaran). He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
