Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss is the founder of NAO.NYC for research architecture and co-founder of international School of Missing Studies for urban studies. He is a Harvard and Goldsmiths educated research architect. Srdjan published three books: Almost Architecture (Solitude + Merz), Socialist Architecture: The Vanishing Act (JRP Ringier) and Socialist Architecture: The Reappearing Act (The Green Box). He edited a number of other books and participated in numerous editions and samizdats. Srdjan curated and designed the following exhibitions: Yona Friedman: About Cities at the The Drawing Center in New York, Anne Tyng: Inhabiting Geometry at the Institute for Contemporary Art Philadelphia and Graham Chicago and Romancing True Power: Dictators 20 in the Aronson Galleries at The New School in New York. He also did site specific exhibitions in Birobidzhan, Far East Russia and Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, North Macedonia. Srdjan taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, Columbia, CUNY and Cornell et al. He is the incoming resident at PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impacts for the Fall 2021 via DAAD grant. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
