Shriti Vadera is chair of Prudential plc. She was previously chair of Santander UK, senior independent director of BHP and non-executive director at Astra Zeneca. She has been adviser to the G20, two European countries on the Eurozone crisis, the African Development Bank on infrastructure financing, the Government of Dubai on debt restructuring and a number of global investors. She was a minister from 2007 - 2009 responsible for the UK Government's response to the financial crisis, on the Council of Economic Advisers at HMT from 1999 - 2007 and an investment banker for 14 years with SG Warburg / UBS. She has a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.
