Shaina Brassard is a writer, culture worker and economic development specialist. She lives in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota. Shaina is a multidisciplinarian. Her priorities include a place-based, comprehensive/holistic approach to community well-being; reconnecting and recommitting to planet and biodiversity; streets as places/car-free living; urbanism; and lifting up the contributions of and deeply supporting our culture producers. She is currently a consultant working with international development firm, ACDI/VOCA, as Communications Specialist for the Transforming Market Systems activity, a USAID/funded, 7-year economic development initiative In Honduras. Shaina has worked in place-based development in Minneapolis and Bolivia prior to Honduras. She holds a bachelors degree from Vassar College. Shaina is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
