My name is Sarah Parvaresh, I am a third year undergraduate, graduating early from the University of Texas at Austin. I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Radio-Television-Film with an emphasis on communications and media studies; I'm interested in how we can use communication technology and skills to solve problems and benefit a community (communication for development or c4d). As I am preparing for my future and my career, I am excited to apply the skills and knowledge I've gained through my studies and employment to work with others interested in global media literacy to create a curriculum. My future career goals are focused on working directly with people in the community to help better enrich their lives and help them seek the greatest opportunities that their communities have to offer.
