Sarah Chan is the general counsel of the group and the director of various subsidiaries of Sinopharm Tech Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. She is also in charge of Sinopharm Tech Group's main subsidiary for its traditional lottery business in China. Sarah is qualified to practice law as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England. She did her solicitor's training with the international firm, Baker & McKenzie, in Hong Kong and, after qualification, worked at the international firm, Linklaters, in Hong Kong specializing in projects and project finance with a particular focus on China. She then became a corporate counsel with the Asia Pacific regional headquarter of Lucent Technologies in Hong Kong attending to legal matters in the region and later was appointed to be the regional general counsel for the Asia Pacific region of Avon Products Inc., leading its legal, government and regulatory affairs teams in the region. Sarah obtained her law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
