Ryo Toyoda works as a data scientist at AKKODiS Consulting Ltd., in Tokyo, Japan where he supports his clients' goals in integration of data science and AI in business. The focus of his work is the development of pedagogical model in assessment of learning in immersive virtual reality. He previously worked with a Tokyo-based company that creates instructional VR programs that interactively teaches users proper medical procedures, including complex and delicate surgeries. Ryo Toyoda obtained his doctorate degree from the School of Engineering in Newcastle University, Newcastle, USA, as a Marie Curie Ph.D. fellow.
