Ruth Bolline-Aluoch is a directing staff for Training, Education & Research at the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) and is also an assistant legal and policy secretary at the Directorate of Peacebuilding, Conflict Management and Small Arms Control at the Ministry of Interior in Kenya. She is a research fellow of the African Leadership Centre at King's College London. Ruth has extensive experience in policy, research, and education as she has been working at the community, national, regional, and international level in 16 countries, as well as at the United Nations, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, the East African Community, and the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region for nine years. Ruth was central in developing the regional conflict prevention, mitigation and resolution mechanism and head post-conflict recovery programs on rule of law, security sector reform, transitional justice, governance, and democracy. Her recent research has been on genocide prevention in the Great Lakes region. Ruth holds a Bachelor's of Law from Moi University, Kenya, and is an expert on leadership and society in addition to other certifications in peace support operations, ethics, and integrity. She also has a Master's in international peace and security.
