Roderick M. Hills is a partner in the law firm of Hills Stern & Morley LLP. He is also the Chairman of the Hills Program on Governance at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) with centers established worldwide in leading academic institutions. He has been Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council and Co-chairman of the Committee for Economic Development (CED). In recent years he has chaired or co-chaired committees that have issued reports proposing governance reforms of corporations, the accounting profession, the United Nations and financial institutions. Mr. Hills has been a visiting professor at the Schools of Law and Business of Harvard University and a distinguished faculty fellow at the Yale School of Organization and Management. He has served as counsel to President Ford, as chairman of the Securities & Exchange Commission, and as a law clerk on the Supreme Court. He received both his undergraduate degree and LL.B. from Stanford University. Mr. Hills was a faculty member at Salzburg Global Seminar Session 480, The Rule of Law in a Globalized World: Why it Matters, in 2011.
