Rie Toyomoto is a midwife and work as a program-specific assistant professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Human Behavior at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. Her research focuses on perinatal care, mental health, and digital health interventions. Beyond her academic work, she contributes to the development of care guidelines and engages in clinical practice, bridging the gap between research and practice. She is also a member of the non-profit organization DIPEx Japan, which collects and disseminates individual stories related to health and illness.
