Reinhard Woytek is the director of the SADC Transboundary Use and Protection of Natural Resources Program, based in Gaborone, Botswana, since March 2015. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) implements this program on behalf of the German Development Cooperation. He has held management positions with GIZ, FAO, the EU and the World Bank for more than 35 years, mostly working on rural development and environmental conservation in Africa. Mr. Woytek holds an advanced degree in agricultural sciences and is a post graduate of interdisciplinary studies in international development.
