Rebecca Bassey is an Associate Consultant in Control Risks' EMEA Crisis and Resilience Consulting practice, specialising in the delivery of Crisis Management and Business Continuity consultancy and training to clients across the region. Rebecca joined Control Risks from PA Consulting, providing consulting and analysis services to the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Prior to joining the commercial sector, Rebecca worked in project management in the charity sector delivering youth social action projects. At a Multi-Academy Trust, she developed programme strategy and training projects, focusing on social mobility and education development. Rebecca's previous roles also include time as a policy intern at the UK Cabinet Office. Rebecca was part of the first cohort of Public Policy New Voices Europe fellows and she continues to volunteer with civil society organisations advocating for gender equity and better support for disadvantaged groups. Rebecca holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a research focus on conflict, peacebuilding and migration studies, and BA Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester. She is a Certified Member of The Institute of Strategic Risk Management (M.ISRM) and a Certified Lead Crisis Manager.
