Rami Niranjan Desai is a Consulting Editor for Global Order, India's largest Foreign Policy magazine, and a Distinguished Fellow with India Foundation. She has a decade of experience researching tribal politics, insurgency, and society in the northeast region of India. She has co-edited two books in collaboration with Manipur University and is frequently invited by the National Commission of Scheduled Tribes for lectures and workshops. She has also been focusing on India's role in the Free and Open Indo-Pacific region, particularly the role of Australia and Japan. She is often invited to participate in news debates and writes for major publications like India Today. Additionally, she is the curator of India's largest conclave on new ideas, the India Ideas Conclave (IIC), which brings together over 400 of the brightest minds annually. This year will be the 7th edition of the conclave.
