Director of Production and Infrastructure, Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra, Brazil
Pedro Gattoni is the director of production and infrastructure at the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra—one of Brazil’s leading symphonic institutions—based in Belo Horizonte, where he resides. In this role, he oversees artistic production, technical operations, and the management of Sala Minas Gerais, the orchestra’s concert hall, and a major cultural venue in the country. He works closely with artistic, educational, and administrative teams to align programming, infrastructure, and operations with the institution’s long-term vision. As part of the orchestra’s executive leadership team, Pedro contributes to strategic decision-making focused on institutional sustainability — not only financial, but also cultural and human. His work sits at the intersection of production, infrastructure, and governance, with a strong emphasis on access, audience engagement, and organizational resilience within a hybrid public–private model. Pedro has played a key role in initiatives that broaden the orchestra’s social impact, including transforming youth-oriented concerts into intergenerational experiences, expanding touring programs that bring the orchestra to public spaces across Minas Gerais and other regions of Brazil, and strengthening long-term relationships with diverse communities. Earlier in his career, Pedro worked at the São Paulo City Theater, where he gained formative experience in large-scale performing arts production and developed a lasting understanding of cultural infrastructure as a system built on people, trust, and shared purpose.
