Parul is an architect and urban planner by profession. Her key strengths lie in an interdisciplinary, research-oriented approach towards design solutions that question the norm. Her interests concentrate on people and communities, culture, urban design, rural and city planning, architectural history, vernacular and neo-vernacular architecture, ecology, resilience, and gender studies, with a focus on the Indian Subcontinent. Parul has taught the fundamentals of built environment design from foundation to final years for the past eight years. She regularly publishes and presents research papers on various subjects at various forums. She is dedicated to learning and working towards developing sustainable, energy-conscious, and inclusive design and planning solutions through her research, teaching, and practice. Parul seeks to work with multidisciplinary teams and promote new concepts and policies that benefit the underserved and marginalized people.
