Ophelia Fifuitera Akosah-Bempah is the founder of Kanaf Secretarial and Governance (Pty) Ltd, a governance and company secretarial practice based in Johannesburg, South Africa with the Absa Group Secretariat as their key client. She serves on the board of directors of the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa and the Social and Ethics and Membership committees. Her most recent corporate experience was head of the company secretarial department of AngloGold Ashanti Limited and head of governance at the Absa Group Secretariat. She is a Ghanaian citizen but have been permanently residing and working in South Africa since July 2006. She holds a B.A. in secretaryship as well as Dip.Ed., LL.B., and MDP degrees. She is also a fellow of IoDSA and the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (CGISA).
