Niels Bjerre-Poulsen is an associate professor at the Center for American Studies and department of history at University of Southern Denmark. He has served as president of the Nordic Association for American Studies and as director of the Center for the Study of the Americas at Copenhagen Business School. In 2019, he was a visiting Fulbright Scholar at Marist College and The FDR Presidential Library and Museum. His major research interests are American political culture, American foreign relations, and presidential studies. He holds a PhD in American history from University of California, Santa Barbara (1993), an MA in history from University of Copenhagen (1984), and a BA in American studies from University of Copenhagen (1986).
