Nichan Singhaputargun

Nichan Singhaputargun is a lecturer at the Department of International Development, School of Social Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand. Nichan teaches both undergraduate and graduate programs. His specialization is Peace and Conflict Studies, with the areas of interest being the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and Thailand. He is also a member of the Thailand Peace and Conflict Studies Network, collaborating on research, academic activities, and academic services with four university partners in Thailand, including Mae Fah Luang University, Thammasat University, Khon Kaen University, and Prince of Songkla University. Nichan has published several academic articles such as 'Thailand-Cambodia Preah Vihear Temple Dispute: It's Past, Present, and Future' , 'Civil Movement and Human Insecurity: A Case from Thailand', and "'n Search of Democracy with a National Character: Thailand's Current Political Conflict.' At the administrative level, he has served as the Director of the Asian Research Center for International Development and the Global Relations Division of Mae Fah Luang University. Nichan's current research is titled 'A Study of Thai Constitution in the Perspective of Conflict Transformation in the Political Conflict '. He also works on a research project on 'Transboundary Haze in Upper ASEAN towards Well-Being & Sustainable Future.'
