Nehal Vora is the chief regulatory officer and member of the Executive Management Committee of Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE). Nehal joined BSE in 2009 and today heads all the regulatory functions of BSE including membership compliance, surveillance, inspection, investigation, regulatory communication, investor services, listing compliance, regulatory legal and regulatory research. Nehal's term at BSE has been stellar. In 2019, Nehal received the NetApp Innovation Awards 2019 for Social Media Parsing (using Artificial Intelligence). Nehal started his career with SEBI in 1996 where he spent 10 years in various functions including the Derivatives and New Products Department, covering policy, product and process innovation in areas of derivatives. After making his mark at SEBI, Nehal joined DSP Merrill Lynch Ltd as director, Law and Compliance where in recognition of his commitment and dedication to the Compliance Function, he was awarded OGC Living the Mission Award in 2008 by Merrill Lynch. Nehal joined BSE after his sterling stint at DSP Merrill Lynch. Nehal holds a Master of Management Studies degree in finance from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), University of Mumbai.
