Nataliia Povtar (Program Officer, USAID five-year "Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity", implemented by the Ednannia in consortium of the Center of Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM) and Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) has over 7 years of experience in strengthening civil society of Ukraine and improving civic space for civil society. She was involved in developing and adopting of a number of policies for civil society, including National Strategies for Promoting Civil Society Development in Ukraine 2021- 2026, Laws for improving regulation for volunteers and tax regime for volunteers (adopted in 2022) etc. She also coordinated successful advocacy campaigns for protecting civic space and freedom association (e.g. right to receive online public services, prevention of adopting legislation deteriorating civic space, better regulation for volunteers and CSOs). Nataliia has earned her MA in Law (Major in freedom of association). She was also Fellow of Civil Society Program of Prague Civil Society Center for Learning, were she researched Czech Republic experience on civil society development.
