Nahuel Oddone is a team member of the International Trade and Industry Unit at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN-ECLAC) sub-regional headquarters in Mexico. His main areas of work are value chains, SMEs, cross-border cooperation, and Central American regional integration. Prior to joining UN-ECLAC, Mr. Oddone collaborated at the Italian Institute Centro Studi di Politica Internazionale (CeSPI), and served as chief of staff of the President of the Commission for Local Government and the Secretary of the Commission of MERCOSUR at the Argentinian Chamber of Deputies. He has published several books and articles on decentralized and cross border cooperation, regional integration and local development. Mr. Oddone holds a B.A. in international relations and M.A's in economic integration law and in global and regional economic integration. He is specialized in local development and is currently studying for his Ph.D. in international studies at the University of the Basque Country, Spain.
