Mulenga Kapwepwe is the chairperson of the National Arts Council of Zambia. Before that she worked as a technical advisor to The European Union on the Zambia Sector Support Program and sat on the UNESCO Board of Zambia for the past six years. She has also worked as policy and technical advisor to the Zambian government on a number of policies related to the cultural sector. She is currently consultant to UNESCO on the Convention of Intangible Heritage (Zambia). Mulenga Kapwepwe writes short stories and plays and produces educational materials. She has also produced videos, and television and radio programs.
