Ramon is a master of ASEAN studies student at the University of the Philippines Open University. In 2016, he earned his bachelor of arts in film from the University of the Philippines Film Institute and had internship experience at the Green Age Film Production in Yangon, Myanmar. He is currently completing his certificate in international trade designation from the World Trade Center Metro Manila. In 2013, he is the recipient of the Global Korea Scholarship leading to a certificate in visual design from the University of Seoul, South Korea. His main interests include cultural studies, natural and cultural heritage, Philippine culture and the arts, Filipino diaspora, ASEAN studies and Asian cinema. He is the secretary and independent cinema sector representative of the National Committee on Cinema - National Commission for Culture and the Arts 2020-2022. Currently, he is a board member of the Society of Filipino Archivists for Film (SOFIA).
