Mohamed Abdirahman is the director of the Urban Environment Development Department at the Ministry of Environment and Rural Development, Somaliland. To date, he has mobilized more than 100 passionate individuals across the different regions of the country, to lead change to save the environment. Together, they have planted thousands of trees across Somaliland. Mohamend is committed to addressing the deteriorating environmental conditions in his country. In 2015, he established his own tree-planting program and passionately involves himself in various initiatives and programs to promote environmental awareness. Mohamed was born and lives in Hargeisa, Somaliland. In 2015, he graduated from the University of Hargeisa with a degree in Environmental Science.
