Michael Fung currently serves on the Board of Directors for Floor & Décor, Franklin Covey, 99 Cents Only Stores and serves on the Advisory Board of AArete LLC. Mr. Fung chairs the Audit Committee for Floor & Décor, Franklin Covey and 99 Cents Only Stores and serves on the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee at Franklin Covey. He retired after 11 years at Wal-Mart, where he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Wal-Mart U.S. In that role, he was responsible for U.S. finance operations, including strategy, merchandising, logistics, real estate, store operations, e-commerce, and financial planning and analysis. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Michael served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sensient Technologies Corporation, a global manufacturer of colors, flavors, and fragrances; Vanstar Corporation, a computer reseller and network integrator; and for Bass Pro Shops, Inc., a direct mail and retail company of sporting goods. He also served as the Vice President and Corporate Controller for Beatrice Companies in Chicago. He began his career with the accounting firm of Deloitte Touche in Chicago, Illinois.He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, where he is a Board Leadership Fellow and the Financial Executives Institute. He is also a member of the Committee of 100, Ascend, OCA and The University of Illinois Foundation. Mr. Fung previously served on a variety of nonprofit boards with universities, scholarship, and veteran organizations. Michael is a veteran who served as a Lieutenant in the Illinois National Guard. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, his BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and his CPA license (inactive) from the State of Illinois.
