Mariana Sheppard is a documentary and conceptual photographer based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her work explores themes of family, womanhood, and black life. Her photographs have been on view at the McKenna Museum of African American Art, Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, and Stella Jones Gallery among others. Mariana's photographs have appeared in a wide range of films and campaigns. Her work has been used by a number of companies including OWN, Essence, GQ, SheaMoisture, Saucony, Tidal, RocNation, and Square. Mariana received her B.A. from Louisiana State University and her M.A. from Columbia University.
