Mamadou Diang Diallo is an adjunct faculty member at Cheikh Anta Diop University, Senegal. His research focus is on American civilization, politics, race studies, diversity. His research projects includes African American history and culture. He has previously taught African aesthetics, African American women's perspective of American history, at Temple University, USA as a Fulbright grantee. He first graduated in African studies from Cheikh Anta Diop English department before receiving a predoctoral degree in American studies. He has a PhD in American studies from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal. Upon completion of his PhD, he received a four-year Fulbright research scholarship for a master's in American studies at Temple University while doing research for his PhD in the same field. His other interests are in artistic and cultural work. He is the designer and builder of Cheikh Anta Diop's Monument that is in front of the university's main gate.
