Lyantoniette Chua is the co-founder of AI Safety Asia (AISA), in Manila, where she led its early capacity-building programs, strategic dialogue, and diplomatic efforts. Lyantoniette also founded The Ambit, an AI Governance network representing the Global Majority (the Global South), as its global convenor. The Ambit is the key non-state actor that set Philippines second bright spot on defending human rights and AI out of 130+ countries in the 2024 Global Index for Responsible AI. Lyan is a Fellow (Class of 2021 - with Distinction, formerly senior policy advisor) of the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP) in Washington DC, US and listed among the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2024.
