Lucy Fallon - Byrne is an assistant secretary within the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform where she is responsible for Public Service Reform. Lucy has specialist expertize in the areas of organizational development, employee engagement, and organizational innovation. Prior to her current appointment, Lucy was assistant director general, head of corporate affairs at the Central Statistics Office. Here she had a program of organizational transformation and development and employee engagement and innovation. Prior to this, Lucy was with the Department of Social Protection and was involved in leading a major transformation program which resulted in the development of new Intreo service, a one-stop shop service for the unemployed. Before joining the Department of Social Protection Lucy was director of the National Centre for Partnership and Performance where she was responsible for driving workplace innovation. She has also worked in the education sector and oversaw the development of the new primary school curriculum. She completed her Ph.D. on the dynamics of innovation in Ireland's public and private sector organizations.
