Lloyd Sansom, Australia Lloyd Sansom is the special advisor on the National Medicines Policy Framework to the Department of Health in Canberra. He was an academic pharmacist for 38 years retiring in 2000 as the head of the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at the University of South Australia. He was chair of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee from 2001 to 2011 having been the chair of the Australian Pharmaceutical Advisory Council since 1991. Professor Sansom also serves on several national and international committees concerned with Health Technology Assessment and with pharmaceutical policy.
