Lina Al-Ejeilat is co-founder and editor-in-chief of 7iber.com (which means "ink" in Arabic), a Jordanian citizen-media platform. Since the beginning of 2011, 7iber has become a hub for pro-reform voices and began organizing the "Hashtag Debates," a regular event that seeks to raise political awareness among Jordanian youth and to expand some of the vibrant debates around reform taking place on the Internet. Ms. Al-Ejeilat also teaches digital media at the Jordan Media Institute. She received an M.A. in journalism and new media from Columbia University in New York and a B.A. in electrical engineering from the University of Jordan. She is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar Session 487, "The Challenges of Transition: Sharing Experience" in 2011.
