Laila Bashar Al-Kloub, is currently pursuing her master's degree in journalism and new media at the Jordan Media Institute. She is a youth activist, writer, blogger, and one of the young leaders at The Friedrich Ebert Foundation, an organization that works mainly on empowering youth and fighting extremism. Laila has also led the Al-Salt local debate club in Jordan since 2015, the same year she was awarded "Best debater in young Arab voices competition/ Jordan". In 2015 she was a participant in Germany's "The challenge of change: Politics and religion in Europe and the Arab world" project, and was selected to be the Jordanian coordinator for the 2016 project "faces of democracy: Pluralism in Europe and the Arab world". In 2017 she participated in Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Integration congress in Berlin as one of the young leaders from Jordan. Laila graduated from The University of Jordan's School of Engineering with a bachelor's degree in Architecture in 2015.
