Kuri Chisim is a Senior Program Specialist at BRAC Institute of Educational Development (BRAC IED), with 17 years of experience advancing education in Bangladesh. Her work focuses on designing innovative play-based programs for children and adolescents, contributing to the Master of Education and Master of Early Childhood programs as an academic, and addressing early childhood development needs in humanitarian contexts. She has played a key role in the Rohingya response in Cox’s Bazar, developing and implementing interventions for young children in crisis settings. Based in Dhaka, Kuri has also contributed internationally through BRAC IED, including supporting the Government of Sierra Leone in strengthening play pedagogy in pre-primary education and leading the development of BRAC’s Play Lab curriculum in the Philippines. Her work reflects a strong commitment to promoting play as a powerful approach to learning, development, and well-being across diverse contexts.
