Kathleen Casey is a member of the board of directors of HSBC. Between 2006 and 2011, she served as a commissioner of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, acting as its principal representative in dialogues with the G20 Financial Stability Board and the International Organization of Securities Commissions. Prior to this, she spent thirteen years working for the US government as a staff director and counsel of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and as legislative director and chief of staff for a U.S. senator. Kathleen is also a senior adviser to Patomak Global Partners, a trustee of the Financial Accounting Foundation, the International Valuation Standards Council, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Pennsylvania State University and the Trust Fund Board of the U.S. Library of Congress. Kathleen holds a J.D. degree from the George Mason University School of Law and a B.A. in international politics from Pennsylvania State University. Kathleen is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
