My name is Katie Christ and I am a rising sophomore at the University of Maryland. I am studying journalism and still figuring out what exactly I want to do with my degree, but I do have an interest in print and online media. I grew up near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am a huge baseball fan. I love sports and I am considering a career in sports journalism. During my freshman year I reported on some of the Maryland athletic teams and I hope to do more sports reporting in the future. I love to travel and I cannot wait to explore the city of Salzburg. This summer will be the first time I am traveling outside of the United States so I am very excited! I will also be traveling around Italy, Germany and Switzerland before coming to Austria. I am looking forward to meeting everyone that is a part of the Salzburg Academy!
