Kate Ireland is the director of youth engagement for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in the Washington, DC area. In this role, she focuses on TNC's engagement with and outreach to young people. Prior to joining TNC, Kate worked for nearly a decade with the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), most recently as the founding director of the Global Education team. She is a recognized voice in the field of K-12 global education and has collaborated with organizations that include the Harvard University School of Education, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the OECD, the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans and the US Department of Education. She received her master of arts from the George Washington University and bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia.
