Julio Cabral Teehankee is professor of political science and international studies at De La Salle University where he served as chair of the political science department (1994-2007); chair of the international studies department (2008-2013); and dean of the College of Liberal Arts (2013-2017). He also served as president of the Philippine Political Science Association (2017-2019) and the Asian Political and International Studies Association (2009-2011). Currently, he is the Philippine representative to the Council of the International Political Science Association. He was a Fulbright American Studies Institute Fellow at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2000, a Salzburg Global Seminar American Studies Fellow in 2002, and a Salzburg Seminar Freeman Fellow in 2004. He obtained his PhD degree from De La Salle University in 2001 and completed his postdoctoral studies at the Graduate Schools of Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo from 2007 to 2008.
