Julia Gastwirth is a sophomore undergraduate student currently working towards a B.A. in psychology and journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. She's written several stories for the campus magazine, "Unwind", and in high school was managing editor for her school paper, "Common Sense". Psychological research she has conducted has been largely in the realm of interpersonal relationships; namely, she has focused on the impact of dating applications on romantic relationships as well as the influence of eating disorders on the personal assessment of mate value. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in health and/or lifestyle reporting that enables her to travel abroad often and experience new and different cultures.
