Jürgen Hoth is a professional Canadian and Mexican conservation and rural development planner and practitioner. Over the last 25 years he has promoted and supported national and international responses aimed at the conservation of native grasslands and forested areas. His interest to understand and address natural and social processes related to conservation has taken him to live and work in eight countries, ranging from the Mexican, Panamanian and Costa Rican rainforests to the Norwegian high arctic, in close collaboration with ?and working for? indigenous peoples, key global conservation related NGO´s, academic organizations and governments. He currently works with Conservation International-Mexico, coordinating multiple stakeholders in the implementation of the Water Forest Strategy, a long term conservation initiative of national security standing.
