Jose de Jesus is an Executive Council Member of Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE). Jose is of Timorese nationality and passionate about education, marginalized youth and social supports especially to the poor communities in Timor-Leste. He grew up in the very remote village of Molop which had no access to electricity, roads, hospitals or any other development infrastructure. He is the first in his family to obtain an educational degree.
