John Lee is managing and founding partner at FIT Remuneration Consultants LLP, having established the firm in 2011. FIT has grown to become the largest independently owned executive compensation consultancy in the United Kingdom. It is associated with Frederic W. Cook in the United States and with Pretium Partners in Hong Kong. It advises approximately 200 compensation committees, with clients headquartered around the world. Its United Kingdom listed clients include 10 FTSE100 companies. He has advised in the area of executive compensation for 30 years having qualified as a solicitor in England, a New York attorney, and as a chartered tax advisor. His clients include Aldermore, Aggreko, Clarksons, Glencore, Great Portland Estates, Hammerson, Moonpig, Next, Rentokil, Savills and WH Smith. John currently serves on the board of the Remuneration Consultants Group (the body which oversees a code of conduct for United Kingdom-based executive compensation consultants) and was the principal author of that code.
