Jeronimo Gonzalez

Jeronimo is the operations editor at Semafor, where he writes for Flagship, the outlet’s principal geopolitics newsletter. He also oversees operations within the newsroom, which has recently rolled out numerous pioneering AI tools to enhance reporters’ and editors’ capacities. Jeronimo also manages hiring for Semafor’s fellowships, as well as relations with freelancers and contributors. Before joining Semafor, Jeronimo worked at the BBC, and co-founded a fintech startup that was acquired in 2021. He holds MAs from King’s College London and the University of London, and a BA from Suffolk University. He lives in Madrid, Spain, though he is a native from Mexico City.
