Jenia Mukherjee is an assistant professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Her research interest spans across environmental history, political ecology and urban studies. She received awards and accolades for her work on water-society interactions in the South Asian deltaic (urban) context. Jenia is leading and co-investigating five national and international large-scale research projects and has widely published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She is also a member of the editorial advisory board for the Routledge Equity, Justice and the Sustainable City series edited by Julian Agyeman (Routledge). Jenia is the reviewer of three leading journals on urban issues: International Journal of Urban Sustainable Development (Taylor & Francis), Urban Research and Practice (Taylor & Francis), and Cities (Elsevier). She is committed to apply interdisciplinary social science frameworks in her work and engage with multiple sectors to transcend theoretical research into actions. Jenia is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
