Jauad El Kharraz is the executive director of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), an intergovernmental organization based in Cairo (17 Arab countries onboard). He has been working as a senior expert/advisor/evaluator for several international institutions. He has been director of research at the Middle East Desalination Research Center, Oman (2015-2020). He has been projects manager at EMWIS (2004-2015) in France and researcher at the University of Valencia (1998-2003). He obtained his master of science and PhD degrees in physics from University of Valencia, Spain and a diploma in enterprises management and strategies from SKEMA Business School, France. He brings over 20 years of experience in various sustainability fields including energy and water policies, desalination, and water-energy-food nexus. He coordinated and contributed to international programs. He carried out projects for multiple donors. He chaired and contributed to the development of an important number of papers, policies and events worldwide.
